Day 75:March 15 - Jacksonville

Sunny and warm

We are on athe road again and our birding is limited to parking lots and roadsides. When we stopped along I-95 for a "bio-break". The picnic area was just teeming with Boat-tailed grackles All the food left lying around in the trash bins and on the ground around the pavilions is a major attractant for these birds as they come in for the free buffet. In amongst the masses of the grackles are two birds very conspicuous due to their much lighter coloration.

A pair of doves turns out to be Eurasian collared deves. They also are intent on gaining a handout and being used to the humanity which is present during all hours of the day, allow me to approachch and grab an image to post as today'sjhot of the day.
